There are two ways for managing your listings in Linnworks:
Each way has its own special aspects and it is best to get familiar with all of them before you decide which option is best for you.
Create listings via Linnworks
Linnworks has several listing tools for creating and managing listings on multiple sales channels. The process of listing creation involves several parts and slightly differs depending on the specifics of the channel - which is why there is a separate listing tool dedicated to each channel.
We are gradually implementing more listing tools for new integrations, and at the moment Linnworks allows you to list on the following channels:
- Amazon (NB! Listing creation is not yet available for Amazon Brazil, Japan, Singapore, Turkey, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Sweden sites)
- Magento 2
- Flubit (NB! Flubit is currently inactive while going through a large-scale upgrade)
To start listing on the channel, the channel must be integrated into Linnworks and inventory items need to exist in the system.
Listing creation involves two main stages:
1. Setting up configurators
A сonfigurator hosts common details for listings such as listing type, return policy, payment methods, shipping info, attributes, listing categories, etc. Configurators offer an efficient way of creating listings in bulk that follow a common theme. The same configurator can be used to list multiple items that share common details.
2. Creating listings
Listings are created from the My Inventory screen. When listing via Linnworks, you need to create a listing template first. A template serves as the base for the listing and it hosts details of the SKU that are specified in the configurator.
Once the template is set up, you can submit the listing to the channel.
Having a listing template in the system gives you control over listings and allows you to update more details on the listings via Linnworks. You can update the following via the template:
- Stock levels
- Shipping methods
- Payment methods
All of the above can be updated for multiple listings in bulk. For detailed steps on how to list via Linnworks please check our guide Create listings via Linnworks.
Map existing listings to Linnworks inventory
Listing mapping involves linking your existing listings from selling channels to the corresponding stock items in Linnworks. In this case, no configurators or templates are required. When listings are mapped, Linnworks can update the following:
- Stock levels
More details on how to map listings to the inventory can be found in the Inventory Mapping guide.
For eBay and Amazon, information for listings that were created on the channel outside of Linnworks can be extracted to create a template and configurator in Linnworks using the Extract Inventory tool. This will provide the same level of control as if these listings were created via Linnworks.
