Change Inventory Item Number

Overview
Use this import to change the item number (SKU) of an existing Linnworks inventory item. All existing links to listings will be maintained.

Criteria

The following criteria will be used when validating the contents of the file prior to importing the data to Linnworks

Original SKU 

  • The Original SKU must already exist as a Linnworks Inventory Item
  • The Original SKU must only exist once in the file. If multiples are identified, all instances of the Original SKU in the file will be ignored and no update will be made to the existing Linnworks inventory item

New SKU

  • The New SKU must not be the same as an existing Linnworks Inventory Item
  • The New SKU must only exist once in the file. If multiples are identified, all instances in the file will be ignored and the no updates will be made to the Original SKU's in these rows

Both Original and New SKU

  • The contents of both columns must be entirely unique, i.e. the same SKU code cannot exist in both columns in the file. No update will be made to the Linnworks inventory items where an Original SKU code is found in the New SKU code column or vice versa

Available Columns

Legend

Key Description
Compulsory This field is a compulsory requirement for the import. The data must exist as a column in the CSV and be mapped to the named field.
Additional This field relies on dependent data that is a compulsory requirement for the import. If this field is included in the import then the dependent fields must also be mapped.
Forbidden When the field is included in the import, the additional named field(s) are not permitted to be mapped and included in the import. Inclusion of both fields in the same import will prevent the import from executing.

Compulsory Original SKU The Item Number (SKU) for the existing Linnworks inventory item that you wish to change to a new SKU code  
Compulsory New SKU The new SKU code that going forwards will be used to identify the inventory item within Linnworks
