Royal Mail Tracked - Shipping Services

Linnworks allows you to print labels for the following Royal Mail Shipping services:

  • TPA: Tracked 24 High Volume Age Signature
  • TPB: Tracked 48 High Volume Age Signature
  • TPC: Tracked 24 Age Signature
  • TPD: Tracked 48 Age Signature
  • TPL: Royal Mail Tracked 48 High Volume - Non Signature
  • TPL: Royal Mail Tracked 48 High Volume - With Signature
  • TPM: Royal Mail Tracked 24 High Volume - Non Signature
  • TPM: Royal Mail Tracked 24 High Volume - With Signature
  • TPN: Royal Mail Tracked 24 - Non Signature
  • TPN: Royal Mail Tracked 24 - With Signature

Royal Mail Shipping Service Options

Some courier services allow you to configure options that are specific to that courier. To configure shipping service options for Royal Mail Shipping services, follow the guide below.

Editing shipping service options

  1. Go to Shipping > Integrations
  2. Click on the Services button in line with your Parcelforce integration
  3. Find the service that you want to edit, and click the Edit button

Available Options

Below is a list of all available options for services that are offered by Royal Mail Tracked integration:

  • Service Level:
    • Overwrite service level: leave this at the default value unless instructed to change it by Royal Mail.
  • Notification: (also only applies to Special Delivery Services):
    • Email notification
    • SMS notification

Both (emails and texts) are not sent by Linnworks and will be enabled by default.

  •  Weight:
    • Default Weight: this value will be used if the order weight will equal 0. Please specify the numeric value only - weight unit (in grams) will be added to the value automatically.
    • Always Use Default Weight: when this option is ticked, the default weight value will be applied to every order printed with this service.
  •  Pick List:
    • Print Pick List: when ticked, a picklist with order items will be automatically printed after the shipping label in a predefined format. This format cannot be adjusted unlike a regular Picklist set up in Template designer.
    • Pick List Format: picklists can be printed in Landscape or Portrait format.
  •  International Shipping:
    • Print Commercial Invoice: Print Commercial Invoice for Non-EU International orders in A4 format.
    • Commercial Invoice Copies: The number of Commercial Invoice copies to print.
    • Print Customs Forms: when ticked, a CN22 (if order item value is under £270) or CN23 (if order item value is over £270) form will be printed and populated automatically for the order, if the Shipping Country will require the CN22/CN23 form and will go through Customs. The CN22 form will print straight after the shipping label (size 6x4).
      The CN23 form will print to screen as A4.
      When unticked, the form will not print automatically after the label even if it is required.
    • Customs form copies: The number of CN22/CN23 copies to print with the label.
    • Shipment Type: OTHER, DOCUMENTS, SAMPLE, GIFT
    • Use Signature: tick the box, if you wish for the next field to be printed on the CN22 automatically.
    • Signature: the name/surname you wish to have printed on the CN22
    • Validate Customs form: Shipping label printing will show an error, when order items do not have the correct HS Tariff Code or Country of Origin information added.
    • Default HS Tariff Code - HS tariff code to be used if none is added via Item or Order Extended Properties.
    • Default Country of Origin - Country of Origin to be used if none is added via Item or Order Extended Properties.
    • Delivery terms - the delivery terms used for the shipment e.g. DDP (Delivery Duty Paid), DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid)
  • Label Design: It is possible to print 3 out of 4 variables on the shipping label. Select variables that you would like to have printed on your shipping labels:
    • Order ID as barcode: Order ID as barcode can only be selected as Label Reference 1.
    • Order ID: Linnworks order ID.
    • Order reference: Channel Reference Number.
    • Item SKUs: Item SKUs are always printed as the last reference, separated with a comma and are limited to 3 lines. If SKU exceeds 50 characters, then the remaining part will be printed on the next line.
