UPS - Properties

Overview
This guide covers parts of the Properties screen that are specific to your UPS integration, both on an order and item level

Table of Contents

Accessing Properties

Use the following step to access the Properties screen for both Item and Order Property mapping

  1. Go to Shipping > Integrations
  2. Click the Properties  button for your UPS integration

Available Properties

Using properties for UPS allows you to allocate various specifics to either an item or order level.

  • Item Property Mapping is used to allow the submission of additional specific data from a Linnworks inventory item to the courier during the request for a shipping label.
  • Order Property Mapping is used to allow the submission of additional specific data from a Linnworks order to the courier during the request for a shipping label.

These are extra details that may be required by UPS that are not a standard field in Linnworks. As such, to make use of these properties they will need to be added as extended properties on Linnworks and then mapped to the appropriate property in the UPS integration. For information on creating using extended properties please see the linked guide.

All item and order extended property types must be set to Attribute.

Packaging Mapping

Mapping the packing type is required by UPS in order to match your own packing type with the packaging types offered by UPS. A default can also be set, to be used in any instances where packaging types have not been mapped. For further information see our packaging mapping guide
